Virtualtopia works across different platforms and project types, from straightforward business websites to ecommerce, custom functionality, hosting and ongoing technical support.
These projects were created directly under Virtualtopia and show the range of work involved, from ecommerce and large content websites to specialist publishing and photography platforms. Most additional development work is completed for other companies and is not included here.

A large local history, photography and nature website documenting Wainuiomata, its people, landscapes and heritage. Content spans news, history, reserves, walks, rivers, waterworks, tours, maps, photographs and field research.
A specialist publishing website exploring physics, quantum theory, mathematics, cosmology and broader ideas about the nature of reality. The site organises a growing archive of articles across subjects and featured content.

A portfolio is strongest when it explains more than how a finished website looks. Visitors want to understand what needed to be solved and what changed as a result.
Even a short project entry can demonstrate strong experience if those three things are clear.
What did the client need the website to achieve or fix?
What did Virtualtopia actually design, build, integrate or improve?
Why was WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, static or a custom solution appropriate?
What became faster, clearer, easier to manage or more effective?
